THE CHALLENGE
In a constantly changing and increasingly competitive global market, businesses must adapt constantly in order to achieve greater profitability with fewer resources. Many strive to be more efficient and productive by utilising lean strategies and continual restructuring.

This new business model raises questions of sustainability, especially when the resources are people. Business profitability must align with employee engagement and the “people” element in order to sustain optimal results.

Implementing health & wellbeing programmes and creating fun working environments are important, but these focus mainly on external elements rather than internal factors such as EQ: Emotional Intelligence.
THE SOLUTION
EMOTIONS DRIVE PEOPLE: PEOPLE DRIVE RESULTS
Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the ability to:
• Recognise, understand and manage our own emotions
• Recognise, understand and influence the emotions of others (Adapted from Daniel Goleman)

An individual with high EQ is better engaged in their work, with others and with their leader.
A team with high EQ has positive and strong team dynamics and achieves results efficiently.
A leader with high EQ better understands the emotional drivers of their employees and taps into this to fully engage with an individual and the whole team.
This creates happy, positive employees, which makes for better results and improved profitability.

These findings are from a massive meta-analysis of 225 academic studies:
